Making a Sustainable Makeup Wipe: A Crochet Project

If you're looking for a quick and easy crochet project that is also eco-friendly, making your own reusable makeup wipes is a great place to start. This project is perfect for beginners, and requires only a few basic crochet stitches.

Materials

  • Cotton yarn (Such as our morning salutations yarn)
  • Crochet hook (3.5 mm)
  • Scissors
  • Knitters needle
  • crochet makeup wipe with some crochet animals behind

Instructions

  1. Make a slip knot, chain 4 stitches and slip stitch together.
  2. 8 trebles in the centre.
  3. Increase in each stitch (16 stitches).
  4. Increase in every other stitch (24).
  5. Increase every third stitch (32).
  6. Increase every fourth stitch (40)
  7. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Use the yarn needle to weave in the ends.

Using the Makeup Wipe

To use the makeup wipe, simply wet it with water and use it to remove your makeup. After use, wash the wipe with mild soap and water, and let it air dry.

Why Choose a Sustainable Option?

By using reusable makeup wipes, you're helping to reduce waste and minimize your impact on the environment. Traditional disposable makeup wipes are often made from non-biodegradable materials, and contribute to the growing problem of plastic pollution in our oceans and landfills.
